So not happy with the way the stripes came out. I cheated just a little bit on them though. D: They are completely hand-drawn, but I changed the opacity on that layer down a bit. Everything else is completely pixeled. I spent all of ten minutes on the hair, so I'm probably going to go back and edit it with a braid effect and slight highlights, maybe some beads and whatnot. I would also like to go back and edit the facial features: eye size, nose, ears, etc. but I've never done a face edit and I'll just mess it up.
